In addition to my writing credits in film and animation, I have contributed to books, magazines, online publications, websites, and exhibits.
“Lorenzo Albacete: A Short Biography”
This chapter concludes the book Cry of the Heart and recounts the story of its author, a priest and former rocket scientist. It was published by Slant Books in 2023.
“The Gift of Humanity: Time Like a River”
I wrote this appreciation of a little-known Chinese film for Humanum, the online review of the John Paul II Institute. Time Like a River is a moving tale about displaced and forgotten people.
“Bleak but Not Hopeless”
For many years I was a contributor to the monthly magazine Traces. This piece is about Krzysztof Kieslowski’s masterpiece, Decalogue One.
“SIGNS”
In 2019, I produced Lost in the Cosmos: The Last Self-Help Exhibit, based on the book by Walker Percy. I wrote and designed these panels about the concept of the “sign” and how signs can help us understand reality, but can also be emptied out, leaving us feeling lost and confused.
